Come along to the “Warrior Workout” a fun, vigorous, Kundalini Yoga Workshop on Saturday 25th February 10-12:30pm at Namaste Yoga Belfast 265A Ormeau Road, BT7 3GG
This kundalini yoga class is designed to push you and make you sweat. Great workout for the New Year to help you eliminate toxins, improve circulation and increase your aerobic capacity. A warrior is not necessarily a hell bent Barbarian type soldier. Nowadays it is someone who seeks to make a total investment in everything they do. Where breakthroughs become a way of life and they become aware that life is a challenge and a gift. So go for gold!
Beyond the very extreme of fatigue and distress, we may find amounts of ease and power dreamed ourselves to own: sources of strength never taxed at all because we never push through the obstruction William James.
Kundalini yoga comes from Sikh tradition and is a form of Raja yoga. It is very powerful, a complete physical, mental and spiritual balance is achieved immediately in one kriya. Active asana-based exercises, pranayama, and meditation are undertaken to build the nervous system, glands and mental faculties. Kundalini Yoga was formally brought to America in 1969 by Yogi Bhajan, a Kundalini Yoga Master from India, who revealed the yoga form to the West as a comprehensive spiritual system for personal growth.
Jennifer Greenlees is a Holistic Therapist. She took up yoga as a form of self care 30 years ago in Edinburgh while studying a Biology Degree. She started working as a massage therapist in London straight after university. Jennifer became qualified as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher while working in New York in 2002 and has been enjoying practicing and teaching ever since.
Please bring your yoga mat, some water to drink and wear loose comfortable clothing, white if possible (not compulsory). It is the Kundalini Yoga tradition to wear white. Did you know that wearing white encourages chakra balancing and expands your aura or energy field.
15 Jan 2023 – New Year Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop

New Year Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop
with Bridgeen Rea-Kaya from Immeasurableminds.co.uk
Sunday 15 January 2023
2-4pm
£25
Please book via www.immeasurableminds.co.uk
Take some time out for your wee self. These practices I offer are all about increasing how well we love ourselves and others. PLUS a unique opportunity to connect in person with other local like minded people. Sharing in circle is part of the class and part of the healing that can happen in the class.
We will start the workshop with some polyvagal tuning to regulate our nervous systems and facilitate space for true rest and healing. Because it’s the Christmas season I will be offering the ever popular chocolate meditation! If you have any allergies etc – please bring your own treat to practice with
After the May workshop participants texted me to say things like “thank you so much for yesterday, it was so nice to meet you and I have to say that my mind is a lot quieter today.” “Great afternoon, my son loved it.” “I loved it! so nice to practice in person again”
Places are limited due to the limited number of chairs available in the centre. So if your interested book asap. Please bring your own yoga mat and blanket for the deep relaxation.
Mindful self-compassion is the foundation of emotional healing—being aware in the present moment when we’re struggling with feelings of inadequacy, despair, confusion, and other forms of stress (mindfulness) and responding with kindness and understanding (self-compassion). Mindful self-compassion also means holding difficult emotions—fear, anger, sadness, shame and self-doubt—and ourselves, in loving awareness, leading to greater ease and well-being in our daily lives.
Mindful self-compassion can be learned by anyone. It’s the practice of repeatedly evoking good will toward ourselves especially when we’re suffering—cultivating the same desire that all living beings have to live happily and free from suffering. And as the Dalai Lama says, self-compassion is the first step toward compassion for others.
This half-day retreat is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. It’s fun, practical and experiential.
It is possible to buy a ticket as a gift, the person just needs to give the name the ticket was booked under when they check in with me on the day.
Thank you, I look forward to seeing you.
Once purchased tickets are not transferable or refundable. Thank you for understanding.
